Piwik is a open source (GPL licensed) web analytics software program. It provides you with detailed real time reports on your website visitors: the search engines and keywords they used, the language they speak, your popular pages… and so much more.

Piwik aims to be an open source alternative to Google Analytics and it's biggest benefit is that all your visitor data is stored only on your server.

Piwik runs on PHP and MySQL; provides a drag-and-drop, widget-driven AJAX dashboard; allows you to track any number of Web sites; and supports multiple user accounts with basic access controls. Plug-ins are available for geolocation and to automate the insertion of Piwik JavaScript code into the pages of Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and other publishing platforms.
